Who Was Esther in the Bible
Esther was a Jewish woman living in Persia during the reign of King Ahasuerus (Xerxes I). She was raised by her cousin Mordecai after being orphaned at a young age. Her Hebrew name was Hadassah, which means myrtle, a symbol of peace and blessing. Through grace and divine favor, she was chosen as queen after Vashti was removed from her position.
Esther was known for her humility, obedience, and faith. She remained loyal to Mordecai's guidance and later used her influence to protect her people. Her life is a reflection of how God can use ordinary people for extraordinary purposes.

The Story of Esther
